NOTICE OF FILING
On October 17, 2002, the Webster County Solid Waste Authority filed an apphcation
with the Public Service Comrmssion of West Virginia requesting to increase its rates and
charges for tire disposal to its customers.
Commission Staff has reviewed the Applicant's request ann recommended that the
Applicant be permitted to ratse its rates and charges to recover :be increased costs of tire
disposal. The Commassion has approved the requested rates oa an interim basis, subject to
refund. The interim increa.e is reflected below:

This procedure is designed to provide for a change in rates and charges in order to
produce additional revenue sufficient, but no more than sufficient, to offset the extra cost
of tire disposal. Anyone desiring to protest or intervene must file a written protest or notice
of intervention within twenty (20) days following the date of this publication unless
otherwise modified by Commission order.
Failure to timely intervene can affect your rights to protest any rate increases and to
parucipate in future proceedings. Requests to intervene must comply with the Comnussion's
rules on intervention. All protests and interventions should be addressed to the Executive
